Flowering lavender and roots botanical plate poster

Lavender botanical plate poster, from flowers to roots

Devoted entirely to lavender, this botanical plate shows the plant from top to bottom. 4 tall purple flowering spikes rise above a tuft of green leaves, and the drawing continues down to the tiny roots. Behind the plant, sage-green hills and a few cypress trees stretch out beneath a lilac sky. The line work is precise and the palette is limited to mauves and tender greens. The green of the leaves sets off the purple of the spikes. This lavender poster combines precise drawing with softness, under the title “LAVENDER STUDY”.

A lavender plate for the bathroom or bedroom

Its soft mauves suit a bathroom, bedroom, entryway or office. It pairs well with linen, whitewashed wood, glass jars, ceramics and white or sage-green walls. It makes a lovely series with other botanical plates or posters of Provence. A great gift for an herbalist, a gardener who grows her own lavender, a friend who makes her own soaps, a botany student, or for Mother’s Day.
